Oct. 21, 1975: Carlton Fisk hits a game-winning home run leading off the bottom of the 12th inning of Game 6 of the 1975 World Series, giving the Red Sox a 7-6 victory and forcing a Game 7.
 
Sept. 11, 1918: The Red Sox beat the Cubs, 2-1, in Game 6 to capture their fifth World Series -- and last until 2004. Carl Mays (Game 6's winning pitcher) and Babe Ruth each win two games in the series, which is played in September due to wartime restrictions.
